Tuesday, June 22nd

This morning I went with Noelle to get our nails done as her birthday present. When we got to the manicure place my mom told them that we wanted our nails done, so they sat us down and started cutting our nails. Noelle and I both thought this was a little strange, but neither of us had ever had a manicure before so we let tham do it, assuming that they had a good reason. Noelle finished getting hers cut first, first, then they pulled out a box of fake glue-on nails and asked her to pick the ones she wanted. She explained to them that she didn't want fake nails, she just wanted hers painted. They realized what we wanted a little late, our nails were all trimed down REALLY short. Apparently when you say "nails" that means you're asking for fake nails, what we really wanted was a manicure. Arg. We then clarified that we wanted a manicure and let them continue. No one has ever told me that manicures hurt. When I asked my mom afterwards she said they are usually uncomfortable, but they don't hurt. Mine did. When she was scraping my nail clean she punctured the skin in a few places, then whenever she put anything on those spots they stung like crazy. Then when she was stamping designs on my nails she had to redo one of them exactly 4 TIMES! She wouldn't wait long enough for the base coat to dry! One thing is for sure, we won't be going back to that nail place!

Sunday, June 20th

Today we went to the Spanish church again, but this time Nate, Abby and I went into the kids program instead of the service. I liked it a LOT better! It was still really long, but I understood a lot more. I met three girls, Maria Fernanda (Marifer), Gabriela (Gaby) and another girl that I couldn't catch her name. After church they asked me to say something in English, I did, and they said That sounds so cool!. They can't speak English very well, actually, I can speak Spanish better then they can English, but they love the sound of it! After church we went to Costco for a HUGE shopping trip (two full carts!) then we went to our new house to drop some things off that we won't need until we move in. At Costco we had bought Toffee a cute new bed that looks like a mini sofa, and four squeaky stuffed animals, we left the bed and one of the toys at the house. When we got back I got Chloe out and played with her for quite a while! We're trying to get Toffee used to the guinea pigs, because apparently it can be done. But she seems jealous of the time we spend with them, and a little wary of them too! Then I started to teach Toffee to 'take a bow' and she's starting to get the hang of it! It's really cute!

Wednesday, June 16th

Today we went to an appointment at Eton for my mom, I got accepted!! :D Then we went to the mall to eat breakfast and then we went shoe shopping. My mom and I both got a pair of shoes that we liked, and my mom got a pair for my dad. Then, at one store, they had a couple of pairs of shoes that were very different from anything I had ever seen. They are called Tubeflops:They are basically flip-flops with socks attatched! I saw a bunch of articles online that criticized them, most of them said that they are horrible and that no one would wear them in public. But, I happen to like them. Please vote in the comments about whether or not I should get them! There are different colors too, so please don't judge it by the color!

Sunday, June 13th

Today we spent almost all of our time at the beach, when we finally got tired of the ocean we got into the pool instead. We then stayed in the pool until we got hungry and went to eat lunch. After lunch we went shopping for a cover-up for me and Acapulco T-shirts for Noelle and Chloe. I found a lime-green cover-up, but Noelle and Chloe didn't see anything that they liked. Then we hit the road. We watched the second National Treasure on the way back, then we tried to watch Night at the Mueseum, but it wasn't working so we just talked. Chloe's parents picked her up shortly after we got back, but Noelle's family was in Tasco, the silver town, and they didn't pick her up until about 9:00.

Saturday, June 12th

This morning Chloe, Noelle and I got up at seven to make sure that we got to the beach at a decent hour. We were ready but hungry at 7:30 so we went and knocked on my parents' door. They had both been asleep, but the knocking woke them up. They got up and got ready and we got to the beach at about 8:30. We mostly played in the water but built the occacional sand castle until we decided to go to the pool and afterward to eat lunch back at the hotel room. Later we went to the park and then back to the beach for most of the rest of the day.

Friday, June 11th

We got up early this morning, we always start our trips by getting in the car early! In the car, Chloe, Noelle and I watched National Treasure. When we got to El Rollo, it was almost deserted. Today was the first match in the World Cup for soccer so almost everyone was home watching it. We were happy about that, until they told us that certain rides were only going to be open at certain times. Apparently the life guards stayed home to watch it too! Or at least most of them. We had a good time, but we left earlier than we had planned because we got tired of the few rides that we could go on. When we arrived at Acapulco it was too late to go to the beach, so we went to the park instead. There are these really cool swings at the park that are shaped like birds. (These pictures weren't taken today)There were also two zip-line swings. (These were also not taken today)
We played there while my parents went shopping. When they got back, we went out to eat and then went to bed.
